Agile delivery for Industry 4.0

Before we begin integration, we conduct Discovery and Design phases. Using iterative client feedback, we quantify business goals and create detailed integration plans.

We believe that the development process is a journey from low resolution to high resolution requirements. The finished code of a system is the most complete specification of it.

We increase resolution in a sequence of gradually more detailed mediums. This journey often includes: business case hypothesis, value stream maps, domain models, user stories, wireframes, prototyping, MVP and, finally, global Roll Out.

Our 5 phase approach incorporates the efficiency of Lean, the flexibility of Agile and the risk management of Waterfall.

Discovery phase

We use collaborative workshops and stakeholder interviews to map business processes. These maps reveal waste and obstacles to growth. Finally, we deliver cost recommendations, KPIs to track impact, and an implementation strategy.

Design phase

This phase includes domain modelling, technology analysis, and wireframing. It also handles compliance, security and release processes. We deliver using an iterative process. The result is a robust and comprehensive plan to guide the integration.

Development Phase

We integrate solutions using Sprint methodology. Each sprint is 2 weeks long and begins and ends with a planning session with the client team. The process is highly agile and enables stakeholders to steer the project as it evolves. At the end of the last sprint the solution is ready to go into production.

Roll Out phase

H&C’s solutions are built for scale. However, new solutions should be rolled out incrementally. Roll out is a highly collaborative phase that includes training, operational support and resolution of teething issues.

Continuous Delivery phase

Once our solution is delivering business value at scale, we enter into ongoing support. This phase ensures that the system continues to evolve and keep pace with surrounding business context.

We eliminate project risk by refining requirements in our Design phase. During this phase, our engineers work closely with clients' domain experts to build a shared understanding. This shared picture is captured in our unique Domain Modelling tools.
